Initial consultation
This is where we get to know each other, where we talk through the latest technology, and where we start to get a sense for how we can put that technology in your home. It’s here that we will set fundamental capabilities (things which the system MUST do) and aspirational capabilities (things which you would like the system to do).

Draft Solutions
We generally provide three initial draft solutions. All the draft solutions will fulfil all your fundamental capabilities – the difference is in to what extent they fulfil your aspirational requirements.
The first of the three draft solutions will fulfil as many aspirational capabilities as possible within your price range. The second draft solution will fulfil the most cost-effective aspirational capabilities and leave out those which add significant cost. The third draft solution is the lowest cost necessary to achieve the fundamental capabilities. -
Second consultation
Now that you have seen how your fundamental and aspirational capabilities can be achieved and how much this could cost we meet again to fine tune the details of the solution you prefer. Often this can be unnecessary but sometimes you will have decided to move an aspirational capability into the fundamental category or vice versa. This consultation allows you to make an informed choice about what features are most important to you and your family.

Final Solution
We now know exactly what we are going to achieve and how we will do it. At this stage you pay a deposit on the equipment. Some of the equipment we use will be made to order overseas and some will already be in the warehouse in New Zealand. The deposit allows us to order in all the necessary equipment in advance to ensure that once installation begins there will be no necessary delays. Once the equipment has been ordered we will be able to provide you with a timeframe for when we can expect to begin installation.

Installation
Once the equipment arrives YourAudioVisual will be in touch with you to finalise the date and time of installation. This process usually takes 1-2 days depending on the scale and requirements of the job. You are welcome to observe this process as many people find it helpful to start developing a working knowledge of their home system. However, others prefer to leave us to it. It’s your choice. Once the installation is complete we will calibrate the system to suit your living areas.

Training
This is the final step in the process. We provide comprehensive training on how to operate your system. This can be just the basics needed to get you underway or it can include how to personally calibrate and optimise the sound or video to reflect the fact that your personal tastes in music and video content will change over time. We will also provide a personalised user guide so that you don’t have to wade through the technical manuals to make minor changes or find the settings again.
